GREY I - Grey Series Original Abstract Expressionism Painting 76.5cm x 76.5cm Acrylic Canvas Textured
'Grey I' was the first in my small series, the Grey Series. Back in my days at uni, I studied psychological sciences and colour psychology has always interested me. In this series, I have explored the complexity of the colour grey. I paint intuitively and so the work flows from within from pure emotion and subconscious.
The artwork attempts to convey in a symbolic way, positivity and negativity. Grey as a colour being considered neutral and unemotional. In my view, there is a expresses a neutrality and balance. Duality is evident and the painting's background representing neutrality is painted with layers of textured metallic silver and grey hues, contrasted with positive expressions of pastel pink, mint, blue and neon yellow highlights.
This contemporary abstract expressionism painting is textured, created with many layers of paint and the final effect and unique colour composition, give it a vibrant energy, movement and mystery. There is a moody aspect to the artwork in some respects yet bright and vibrant colours bring light to the work.
Painted to the edges resulting in an unframed elegance making this a visually appealing piece with impact.

Caring for Your Original Art
After you receive your painting, take care to protect it from bright sunlight. If you are framing your art with your own framer, ideally, choose a fine art framing service. To enhance the artwork I suggest an archival mat, a sun-protective, anti-reflective glass and the frame of your choice.
