Drips I
Drips I - This abstract piece was created while I was in Hong Kong during the pandemic. An expressions of my emotional response to the devastating bushfires that ravaged Australia from late 2019 into 2020. The impact on the people, animals, and landscape deeply affected me.
The canvas bursts with vibrant oranges, yellows, and blues, depicting the fierce energy of the fire, while watery blue drips represent the hope of quenching the flames. Black elements symbolize the charred aftermath.
The artwork features a multi-layered underpainting, impasto techniques, and thick drips cascading down the canvas. Various mark-making techniques invite tactile exploration, with drips intentionally extending over some edges and the canvas finished in contrasting black.
Using professional acrylic paints, each stroke is carefully hand-painted, infused with intention, and captures the essence of my emotions.
Thick layers of dripping, warm colours is a unique, textured abstract artwork. It is an energy-filled painting, created with action painting and thick payers of paint placed with a palette knife. It’s oozing with authentic emotion and it's positivity alive.

The float frame is 10mm wide on the face and 55mm deep, fitted with a 5mm space between the canvas and the frame.

Caring for Your Original Art
After you receive your painting, take care to protect it from bright sunlight. If you are framing your art with your own framer, ideally, choose a fine art framing service. To enhance the artwork I suggest an archival mat, a sun-protective, anti-reflective glass and the frame of your choice.
