FAQs

Popular Questions & Answers

What resolution are images on the website?

The images on the site are high quality, lower resolution for viewing on the internet. Depending on the speed of your internet connection and other factors, the images may load slower or blurry momentarily and then become completely clear.

How accurate are the colours of your original paintings online compared to the real paintings?

This is a great question. I was recently told at an exhibition that my artwork looked much more vivid and impactful than online.

Although I strive to match colours as close as possible to the original painting, due to different devices and screen calibrations, colours online may appear sightly different depending on which device you are using. However, offline, the original paintings are very bright.

When do you release new paintings for sale?

My artwork is not created on a schedule. The best way to find out when new paintings have become available is to join my Newsletter for Private Previews before they are released.

Do you take on commission work?

From time to time I open for commission. Please sign up to my exclusive email list newsletter to find out when Commission are open or add yourself to my commission waitlist.

All of my Fine Art Giclée Prints are printed by my fine art printing partner, Left Bank Art Group. The best quality, museum grade, acid free papers are used; 320gms Textured Cotton Rag paper and 381gms Premium Satin Canvas for best colour reproduction and ready for stretch mounting.

What type of inks are used in fine art giclée printing?

Left Bank uses the best quality, archival, Epson Ultra Chrome Pro inks by Ilford, their trusted brand.

Neon colours will look slightly less bright when printed due to the colour range or gamut of the CMYK model which most printers use.

I use the best quality, acid free, museum grade, archival art papers at least 300gms in weight.

Are the original paintings protected from UV light?

All the original paintings on canvas are sealed with multiple layers of professional UV protective sealant for acrylic paints and stored with protection in mind. If you plan to frame original paintings on paper yourself, handle with care and ensure the paintings are framed with UV protecting glass or material for added protection.

Do I need to frame my art?

I paint on canvas and paper. Paintings on canvas are sold ready to hang without an external frame. Paintings on archival paper are sold unframed and will require a frame for protection. You should contact me using the contact form, if you wish a quote for framing.

Do I need a mat when I frame paintings on paper?
