Willie Wagtail and Magnolias - As a young child growing up in New Zealand, I had a backyard with a treehouse next to a huge magnolia tree. I have special memories of this magnolia tree and I wanted to incorporate it into this drawing.
The Willie Wagtail is a special bird to me. After my Nana passed, we moved to Australia. We were pulling up into our new driveway when we were greeted by a friendly Willie Wagtail sitting on the letterbox wagging its tail. To me it felt like a sign. My Nana was with us on this new adventure. Since then I have always associated Willie Wagtail visits with my Nana's spirit.
Hand-drawn graphite pencil study on professional acid free, chlorine free, archival art paper and sealed with an archival fixative for protection. Unframed and shipped in a flat pack for convenience.

The float frame is 10mm wide on the face and 55mm deep, fitted with a 5mm space between the canvas and the frame.

Caring for Your Original Art
After you receive your painting, take care to protect it from bright sunlight. If you are framing your art with your own framer, ideally, choose a fine art framing service. To enhance the artwork I suggest an archival mat, a sun-protective, anti-reflective glass and the frame of your choice.
